LIFTERS
NEED SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THEM.
...lifters need someone who is one of them
Hi, I'm Dr. Sarah.
I love to lift, and I love to help people who lift become pain-free in the gym.
I'm certainly not the best lifter. But for the past 10 years, I've been lifting with a team of people who are way stronger than me. Everyday we train together, I watch them lift. I give them feedback and they give me feedback.
I say this because learning to lift weights and truly assess technique is not a skill you learn in PT school. But it's something I've been practicing day in and day out through my own training which allows me to help lifters.
I've also had extensive anatomy training (human cadaver lab both as a student and a teaching assistant multiple times), and along with my background as a gymnast for 16 years, I'd like to think I have a pretty good eye for watching movement and helping people get back in the gym.
If you've been told to "stop lifting weights" as a solution to your injury, you likely were working with someone who didn't understand how to lift weights.
...but you've found the right place now.
Welcome.
